This is still a bug and is a regression on previous hardware support. It has a usable workaround:
"Unloading (rmmod uvcvideo) and reloading (modprobe uvcvideo) the uvcvideo" Surely the reason for having a bug report system and gathering info on workarounds is so that the system can be made to support the hardware 'out the box' by default, either through pushing out an updated package or in the next version? It seems odd to close a real, known and reproducible regression bug with a known workaround without actually having the problem fixed in the default system. Most people will not want to have to search for this report and then manually unload and reload a kernel module every time the want to use their webcam. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => New -- 10.04 Logitech notebook pro webcam - Regression https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/533907 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
