I'm experiencing this too. I did some testing and it seems it only happens when a window is active. If I have no windows, only the desktop shown, this does not happen. But when I open a window and press Print Screen, keyboard stops working. Then the top/bottom panels flicker (sometimes disappears) and window decorations disappear. After a little while, the computer shuts down.
Initially I thought it was related to X or something like that, but maybe it's the SysRq thing? I was about to file a new bug about this via Apport (but then I decided to ask The Google before submitting anything). Somewhere in the steps, it gave me the following to submit: BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 00000008 IP: [<c03e4175>] fb_release+0x25/0x60 Call Trace: [<c021abaf>] ? __fput+0xdf/0x1f0 [<c021acdd>] ? fput+0x1d/0x30 [<c02175cc>] ? filp_close+0x4c/0x80 [<c0217675>] ? sys_close+0x75/0xc0 [<c05cdc1c>] ? syscall_call+0x7/0xb Code: bc 27 00 00 00 00 55 89 e5 83 ec 08 89 1c 24 89 74 24 04 0f 1f 44 00 00 8b 5a 70 8d 73 08 89 f0 e8 41 83 1e 00 8b 83 0c 03 00 00 <8b> 48 08 85 c9 74 0f ba 01 00 00 00 89 d8 ff d1 8b 83 0c 03 00 EIP: [<c03e4175>] fb_release+0x25/0x60 SS:ESP 0068:f4deff3c CR2: 0000000000000008 -- [Maverick only] Pressing printscreen hangs keyboard https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/592042 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
