I can confirm that this behaviour still exists in edgy and it is quite annoying for a user. When you open nautilus it looks like a file is associated with Scribus, it says that it is a scribus file. But once you click on it it immediately recognises it as a plain text file and the open on double click action won't work. Will this be fixed for feisty?
