This bug has a nasty side-effect. When the mouse is over the slider and slider is not highlighted (because of this bug), if the user does a mouse-down, then the slider moves right (increasing volume) and continues to do so until the mouse is released.
I am often trying to reduce the volume by grabbing the slider with the mouse, only to find that the slider "runs away" from me, to the right.
