A splash-screen, is there to give you status information about its loading progress, not to hide glitches/ errors in a program.
I'm having this problem with my lenovo thinkpad, it has an intel ssd in it, and boots to the desktop in less then 5sec (rather 3.5 / 4m from the post-screen) the splash-screen delays it until everything is fully loaded, and that is annoying because i could already have started with things that are loaded. -- white rectangle is drawn on desktop during startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/612128 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase-workspace in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
