Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xulrunner-1.9
Currently xulrunner is installed to a directory with minor version (at time of writing this /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.2.8). However it's not in the library path and programs using it (such as couchdb) can't find the library. The solution is to add /etc/ld.so.conf.d/xulrunner.conf that points to the install directory (see http://wiki.apache.org/couchdb/Installing_on_Ubuntu for example). However since on every update the directory name changes, xulrunner.conf need to be updated as well. The installer should probably stay with just one directory name ( /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9) or create a symlink to the right directory.
