To insure that the latest driver code still works for you, could you
please install the package linux-alsa-driver-modules-generic from the
Ubuntu Audio Dev PpA, https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-audio-dev/+archive.
Please remove any backports alsa packages before you install the package
from the PPA.
Please report back as to whether things still work for you as they do
with the newer backported alsa packages.
