I see this bug report has been open over a year and a half, but without
specific points to address I guess it erred too much on the side of
being open ended...  Yes, specifying criteria can risk getting
"instantly shot down" but without being specific it's hard to know
whether the bug is "done" or not.  In other words, this is not actually
'actionable' and thus is not really appropriate to track in the bug
tracker.  It needs to be raised in a forum better suited for
brainstorming activities, from which actionable tasks can be generated.
*Those* can then be suitable to discuss/shoot-down/implement as bug
reports here, on a case-by-case manner.
