yes. I am facing the same problem starting the last few weeks. It used to work flawlessly until I got some regular updates. After installing the updates, the internet started to keep dropping pretty often and it kinda gets frustrating. I tried using wicd, it gave a much better performance, but seems like wicd doesnt work with unsecured n/w and hence becomes difficult to access internet in public places. I reported this problem in the forums also, people kept suggesting all kind of stuffs but nothing seems to be working.
