I am using a Dell Latitude e6510 since May 2010 that I ordered to Dell with
Ubuntu on it. When the laptop arrived, Ubuntu 9.10 was not working.
Anyway I was going to install Kubuntu 10.4 (64bits).
On the first install I had to use an external display in order to install it
and to be able to upgrade my newly installed Kubuntu. Here I was able to
activate the Hardware Driver for the NVIDIA graphic card.
This allow me to work under Kubuntu.

But I notice the following:
- Sometime, I need to restart the laptop in order to get to the authentication
form (I have 8 Go and I think this may be badly handle),
- Then, when I manage to open Kubuntu, If I leave it under sleep or worse
hibernation two times, then on the wake-up process, my Kubuntu will restart
loosing the Network management stuff. I am then unable to browse the web, or to
re-install the network-management package.

I hope this may help you explaining things.
I would love to contribute more regarding this.

Thanks!!
