Manoj, I am not very confident your patch helps in that case. The upstream bug you mention had a constant error in one part of the EDID blocks that apparently is not important. From the message here the CRC remainder is changing in every message and that indicates rather a problem in the transfer than an incorrect EDID which can be ignored. The errors here are rather random and likely can happen all over the EDID information.
