Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

Wifi worked out of the box with Lubuntu 9.10, Ubuntu 9.10. After
upgrading to Lubuntu 10.04 it's broken. The network is visible, so
there's no hardware problem. Tried a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04,
still broken. When trying to connect to Wifi, a password is asked, and
after correctly entering it, it fails. On the web it's suggested
somewhere that resetting the BIOS defaults and completely powering off
the machine would help (it didn't).

Here's the relevant part of /var/log/messages (I've replaced the actual
SSID name with "$MY_SSID"), the output of apport-cli -f -p network-
manager is attached (with the same SSID replacement).
