No problem for me if this bug is closed, I'm already using a svn snapshot of ffmpeg, but, just out of curiosity, wasn't lucid a LTS release? Unfortunately I lack the skills (about video formats) to spot the problem in ffmpeg source code, and put this way, I can predict Lucid will never see this bug fixed/backported.
Moreover, does "Fix Released" really make sense in such cases where no one even knows what the fix is? Are we sure the problem is fixed and not only masked by some different code path in ffmpeg 0.6? If ffmpeg where a creation of mine, I would have liked to know what the problem was and why it has now disappeared. However these are only my 2 cents, the final decision is up to you.
