Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and help to improve Ubuntu.
The upgrade log shows that you have removed the grub 2 package in favor of the grub 1 package, which is in an unconfigured state. You should avoid doing this. To restore the grub 2 package, please run 'sudo apt- get install grub-pc'. Why did you install the 'grub' package? ** Changed in: grub (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- package linux-image-2.6.32-23-generic 2.6.32-23.37 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/601748 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
