yes, i did an upgrade, and no i do not have a live cd. Since, last time a guy 
in the irc channel try to help me by doing this: 
*if* it fixes the problem. then the solution was adding "options snd-hda-intel 
probe_mask=1" to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
you had the "azx_get_response timeout, switching to single_cmd mode" error 
messages in dmesg output, and followed the solution suggested in 
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HdaIntelSoundHowto

So it did not fix the problem, it just worked longer for like 2 hrs
before again the sound was gone. Now, once again i am having
difficulties loading the soundcard, so typing

cat /proc/asound/hwdep
cat /proc/asound/modules
cat /proc/asound/timers
cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#2
 
gives me no out put.
I wil try later to see if soundcard loads so i can provide you with the 
requested data.
