Manoj, sorry if my test results were not clear. Your test kernel did not fix the issue. The issue still exists when a user first boots.
The issue does have a workaround with the new kernel - the workaround is to disconnect the wireless via network manager and then reconnect. My second rt2500pci card that I can test with is called a belkin rt2500pci. It is this card that causes a kernel panic. It has never worked under any linux kernel.
