Public bug reported:
When running Ubuntu 9.10 on a Lenovo ThinkPad T400s laptop, the internal
microphone worked as expected, but the external microphone was never
detected. After undergoing a distribution upgrade to Ubuntu 10.04,
neither microphone works -- gnome-sound-recorder reports no sound level
while recording and changing the settings in gnome-alsamixer doesn't
have any discernible effect.
