I did:

mkdir -p /etc/Wireless/RT2860STA/
touch /etc/Wireless/RT2860STA/RT2860STA.dat
service network-manager restart
restart
modprobe rt3090sta

After that, the network-manager see the wifi networks avaliable. So it seems it 
works.
I suspect that this trick _only_ works for asus eeepc 1001 ha. For the other 
computers with Ralink RT3090, I think you have to try solution on comment #41.
