Same issue here after updating to 10.04. This is happening on two completely different laptops.
Laptop 1. ibook G4 Ubuntu 10.4 for ppc Laptop 2. hp dv6 2130ca ubuntu 10.4 Both laptops have broadcom cards, but wireless in both is fine under 9.10, windows or mac osx. Back to 9.10 until issue is fixed unfortunately, as I use my computer on the road a lot. Seems like a rather big bug to have slipped into an LTS release.
