Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox
The current GNOME default is that menu accelerators are hidden, and shown when you press the ALT key. Firefox and OpenOffice.org don't observe this policy and have their menu accelerators displayed all the time. Also, pressing ALT alone in GNOME and Firefox doesn't invoke any menu command, while in OpenOffice.org, it automatically opens the File menu. This inconsistent behavior is an usability issue and also makes Ubuntu desktop look unprofessional.
