If I remove the ntp package, then the date/time edit window installs the NTP package again when I select the internet syncing option, but it doesn't seem to work, because the setting just jumps back to "manual" and when I try to set it to internet syncing, it asks me to install the ntp package again... but this time it doesn't install anything anymore, the same problem as before...
