@Tim Thanks for the correction. However, I see that 855gm-fix-exp-dkms comes with a bit of a threat of its own:
"Stability may suffer with this version. If you experience frequent crashes than please install the non-"exp"-version of this package." And 855gm-fix-dkms isn't perfect either: "Known side-effect is a slowdown of some Gtk+-functions." I think I need more information to be comfortable committing to this fix. In particular, what does Gtk control?
