Hi everybody, I had the same problem as I have an ASUS PCE-N13, 300Mbps, PCIe x1 wireless card with the same chipset RA2860STA. I've tried to compile from the source version 2.3.0.0 but had no luck with that. My kernel is 2.6.32-23-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jun 11 08:03:28 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux.
Then I booted the 2.6.32-22 kernel and saw that the wirellen N connection worked with the original kernel modul (1.8.1.1). During the compiling/installation process I figured out the file /etc/Wireless/RT2860STA/RT2860STA.dat was created. So for me it works only with the original config file from source package. I only changed some paramaters in it. (WirelessMode=7,CountryCode=DE,AuthMode=WPA2PSK,EncrypType=AES) I can start my 802.11n connection with WICD. -- rt2860 doesn't connect on 802.11n wifi https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442178 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
