Public bug reported:

Please sync avr-libc 1:1.6.8-1 (universe) from Debian squeeze (main)

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
The Ubuntu delta was a FTBFS fix. Upstream fixed it a different way and it is
already available in Debian so our delta could be removed.
Build test done at https://launchpad.net/~abogani/+archive/broken/+packages

Changelog entries since current maverick version 1:1.6.7-1ubuntu2:

avr-libc (1:1.6.8-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream release
  * Replaced builddep on gs-gpl with ghostscript
  * Autotools executed during build.
  * Now build-depends on doxygen >= 1.6.2
  * Errors in first two latex passes ignored (closes: #562312)
