Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

when a word is entered into the URL, such as "cnn", it returns the
following error message:

File not found

Firefox can't find the file at
jar:file:///usr/lib/firefox-3.6.3/chrome/en-US.jar!/locale/browser-region/region.propertiescnn.
    * Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.

    * Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.

It's always worked before. All the alleged fixes suggested online point
to an ask.com or extension problem. The only add-ons I have are adblock
plus and Ubuntu Firefox modifications 0.9rc2.

I am running Ubuntu/10.04 (lucid) Firefox/3.6.3
