Typing and deleting characters, especially with automatic spell checking
enabled, is very slow (Kubuntu 10.04, KDE 4.4.4). As per the Kile FAQ
(http://kile.sourceforge.net/help.php#unresponsiv), I disabled autosave
and (not per the FAQ) autocomplete and everything is smooth, except for
highlighting large chunks of text. Using the "--graphicssystem raster"
option speeds up highlighting especially in the upward direction.

I notice that with automatic spell checking, every time one scrolls the
red underlining for incorrect words has to be redrawn by the screen. I
suppose this is a katepart "problem" in general.
