Public bug reported: Binary package hint: system-config-printer
When attempting to add a new printer (HP Photosmart 2575) via system- config-printer, I get prompted for what appears to be Samba credentials (There is a field for username, password and workgroup) The printer does not require these credentials (I have tried different combinations, but clearly this prompt should not be displayed, there are absolutely no credentials required) Adding the printer via the CUPS interface works perfectly, without any prompt for non-existent credentials. ** Affects: system-config-printer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: printer samba -- system-config-printer prompts for credentials when adding a new printer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/594543 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
