The flag comes from wxWidgets and it _does_ have an effect of enabling
some additional wxWidgets logging. That you didn't observe the effect in
some particular execution of Poedit, when -- presumably -- no logging-
worthy situation happened doesn't imply that it has no effect.

It's true that this isn't what you'd expect from --verbose, though.
