Now testing with kernel 2.6.34.999 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/daily/2010-05-31-lucid/ I hope thats what you needed. The pause symbol bars might be narrower than what I saw before, but otherwise nothing has changed. I also tried 2.6.34.996 from drm-next/ it had no pause symbols but had dissappearing glyphs.
