This is an example of the harm caused by file managers using "Cut",
"Copy", and "Paste" to refer to moving and duplicating files, while
every other program uses them for moving and copying things *inside* a
file.

One way to fix this would be to have "File" > "Move To…", with some sort
of bottom-of-screen overlay for cancelling or confirming the move into
whichever folder you navigate to. And similarly "File" > "Copy To…" for
copying. Then the Edit menu items could be strictly about text (e.g. in
filenames) and icons, not about files as a whole.
