Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I'm not sure what happened.

All I know is I sent some emails to a new co-worker with some attached
MS Word files using OpenOffice.org from a DVD circa 4 p.m. Wednesday
without any problems.  Then 6.5 hours later, I watched a movie on my DVD
player and there was an error a third way through the movie.  Then i
left my computer on, and about an hour or two later I tried to open the
DVD tray and discovered a crash report.
