I'm having a similar issue with 9.10 (i386), and Firefox 3.5.9, over the last few days.
Entering a google search generates a suitable-looking URL, but google doesn't send back any data to render. Interestingly, I have the user agent switcher installed, and if I switch to emulate a different user agent (e.g. IE7) and reload the google page (CTRL+F5), searches work fine. So possibly this is something to do with the user agent strings being sent when first making a connection to google? If I go to google front page (with default user agent), and switch user agents before I search, it still fails. I have to load the original search page with the spoofed user agent in order to get it to work. -- firefox wont access google sites https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/585284 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
