I just realized that when booting from a lucid install with an upgraded
kernel and xorg edgers display driver, I succeed to boot with X enabled
on a external monitor ONLY IF i close the computer juste after choosing
the kernel version while booting. then the external monitor is detected
as the main and only one monitor and eveything looks fine but then if I
try to enable the internal monitor its not detected (with arandr,
grandr...)

If I boot with an external monitor but I do not close the laptop then
the screen goes black and nothing happens.

If I boot normaly, without any external monitor, then the screen goes
black and nothing happens.

I may try to generate a xorg.conf to tweak it...

Any idea ?
