Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-wacom

I own a lenovo x61T tablet PC. It is convenient to be able to rotate the screen
and wacom input, which I do with the popular auto-rotate.py script. This uses
xsetwacom to set the stylus, eraser, and touch input orientations. Eraser and
stylus input are rotated correctly, but touch behaves strangely. It only seems
to rotate the "mouse button pressed" event, while the "mouse release" event
stays unrotated. The symptom of this is that when I try to click somewhere on
the screen, the cursor is underneath my finger while I am touching the screen
but jumps back to the "unrotated" position when I release my finger.
This happens both when using the autorotate script and when calling xsetwacom
by hand.
This makes usage of the touch function in any rotation other than normal
completely impossible and therefore removes a very nice piece of functionality
from this hardware.

This is a regression, since it worked fine in Karmic.

To get my tablet working properly in other respects (stylus buttons,
touch calibration, auto rotation) I've had to remove
/usr/lib/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-wacom.conf and use a custom xorg.conf which
I have attached.
