I can confirm that this only happens on some of the screens in a multiple screen setup.
I have three screens, across two graphics cards, using Xinerama and with the middle screen as the primary (0 numbered) x-screen. This bug appears on the primary screen but not the left or right screens. All effects are disabled with no difference.
