Soon after writing the previous comment the problem appeared again using IMAP access to Exchange Server.
Reproduction instructions: 1. Read e-mails in Evolution (Inbox) 2. Close Evolution 3. Wait for some new e-mails to arrive and read them in Outlook Web Access 4. Close OWA and start Evolution: Voila!
