I cannot unistall it even in Lucid and using version 8.4 I tried to do as monkeyking said: sudo gedit pg_hba.conf, for me located in /etc/postgresql/8.3/main/pg_hba.conf local all all #ident sameuser → local all all trust#ident sameuser But there is no "local all all #ident sameuser"
