As you can read I also filed a bug upstream to keep the Phonon developers informed about this bug, assuming this bug has been forgotten.
Besides that, in comment #15 I wrote that using another backend, GStreamer, didn’t make the problem go away. That was months ago, and back then I was using the development version of Kubuntu 10.04 because the stable version wasn’t released yet. Now I’m using the final release with updates included, and I wanted to make sure one more time I had made no mistakes in verifying if using another backend would ‘fix’ the problem. Today I tried again, even making sure to remove phonon-backend- xine. This way Xine being the culprit would be completely out of the question if the problem would persist when using GStreamer as a backend. I rebooted and fired up powertop again, unfortunately the problem does persist even with GStreamer. -- "an audio device is active 100.0% procent of the time" in KDE according to powertop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/521424 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
