Public bug reported: Binary package hint: emacs-snapshot
This is a new install of 10.04 with almost nothing (extra) on it. I first tried to install the emacs23 but it locked the machine up and required a power cycle to reboot it. I then tried removing it - which was difficult, as every time I touched apt-get it wanted to finish the previous install. Sorry I can't add more detail - it was a couple nights ago and I moved on via building from source. It took this long to get email up to interact with the account creation process. -jkc- ProblemType: Package DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: emacs-snapshot-nox 1:20090909-1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-21.32-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-21-generic i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Jun 1 05:09:48 2010 ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release i386 (20100429) SourcePackage: emacs-snapshot Title: package emacs-snapshot-nox 1:20090909-1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 ** Affects: emacs-snapshot (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-package i386 lucid -- I tried a clean install of emacs23 and related packages all at once. Bad idea. Still cleaning out the debris. Built it from source successfully afterwards. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/588765 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
