The patch appears to work under Karmic. It let me install Virtual Box 3.2. I have patch dmks using (first make a backup of dkms file):
patch /usr/sbin/dkms 484725_09.10.patch I didn't have an encrypted file system, but i use pam_mount to mount some samba shares(without encription).
