Can confirm that my virtual consoles ctrl-alt-F[1-6] are also not working, even after I put the machine into runlevel 2 manually with "~ > sudo telinit 2". Also, I'm getting an unhelpful response from initctl: ~ > sudo initctl list Warning: Fake initctl called, doing nothing.
