Research on the WWW pointed me to a workaround: I've disabled the
onboard sound. Now, Linux 2.6.34 starts on my PC again. The problem is
solved now for me, because the on-board sound is defective anyway since
October 2009. However, regardless of my defective on-board sound the
kernel should not crash.
