Jeremy, I moved to Europe for work and have not had time to download the upstream kernel and test it, but I have contacted a developer (who is subscribed) and he confirmed the issue. You may close this bug if you want, because the problem is clearly upstream (at76c50x_usb does not work and at76_usb has been removed, plus it no longer compiles on .32+), but I highly doubt it is fixed in any current .32 or later release. Although I cannot (yet) speak German, I can see others are having the same problem:
