Due to the above I find it *extremely* if not impossible for this to ever be included in a default Ubuntu install. As such I will close this bug report and invite you to submit this as an idea to implement in Brainstorm at http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com where the community can vote on this. This is probably the best way to see if this can be implemented perhaps as an open source solution of some kind.
