Which desktop do you have installed? Also does installing the following
packages resolve the problem?
gstreamer0.10-plugins-base, gstreamer0.10-plugins-good, gstreamer0.10
-plugins-ugly, gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad, gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
