I am able to produce this bug under Ubuntu 10.04. I will run nautilus through valgrind as soon as I can however due to rather slow Internet speeds that might be a while. With a 1.4mb animated gif and ~630mb of ram this caused the oom killer to come in and kill of nautilus after around a minute. My system idles at around 220mb.
