Thanks Hugo and Shoibal for your comments, I guess it is going to affect
a lot of people, because you can buy a Macbook pro in almost every small
town - it is not uncommon hardware.  I think the best we can do is
encourage people to file bug reports and say "me too" to get some
developer attention.  I am almost a bit shocked at apple for releasing
such badly crippled hardware.  I guess a lot of people buy macs to run
other stuff on them.  May go the VM route but it is not a long term
solution.
