I've released a new version of ooo-thumbnailer (0.3.1) which includes this new
feature. You can get it at my PPA:

I'm currently requesting sponsorship for my Debian package to be
accepted in the Debian unstable repositories. Hopefully, it will get
accepted and synced to Ubuntu Maverick eventually.
I don't think new upstream releases are allowed to be included in Lucid,
so I'm not sure what to do with this bug, which is why I'm setting it
back to Confirmed. Ta!
