The link I proposed for the Netherlands should be updated to: http://gratisweerdata.buienradar.nl/radar.php
The major difference with maps from weather.com, is that these local maps have more recent data in terms of history and prediction. Most people use these maps via a website and although these maps are freely available from the national weather service, the websites make it difficult to use the image only (because they wnat you to go to the site and look at commercials). Or at least they do not offer a direct link to the image. Hence my request, if these links are available in Ubuntu weather applet, more people will use the weather applet since it is easy to select a map. Of course these hints of suggested URL should be checked (semi- automatically) for each release if they still exist and contributors will have to be asked to update the link when it is no longer valid. -- weather report provide predefined radar maps https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/127725 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
