10.04 desktop does not work with Sis chipset 96x in a desktop system Initially the display comes up with a symbol at the bottom of the CD drive = Ubuntu logo It sits for awhile then goes blank with a text cursos in the upper left corner of the screen, system responds only to reset button.
I tried a different display board, radon 9200 with pretty much the same result With either vga system I get the message at boot ACPI: invalid PBLK length [15] if I type ENTER key when the initial CD/logo display comes up I get the usual LiveCD menu but the system is unresponsive to MOST keys. The Fxx keys work but typing ENTER for the menu selections does not. Work's fine for earlier version 9.11 -- 10.04 live cd doesn't works in acer travelmate 243LC https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/541861 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
